Mohammad Taraghijah is an artist whose work is dominated by rural Iranian imagery. His figures are often opaque and translucent, and are immersed in a white mist, which Taraghijah claims symbolises divine presence, an all-pervading force which runs through every life form. A painter of distinctly Persian landscapes, his images are filled with stylised beasts and trees much in the manner of the Persian miniatures they pay homage to.
