The current series of monotypes has been developed as a continuation of Vaziri Moghaddam’s successful and celebrated sand paintings. Vaziri’s energetic and inquisitive temperament led him to explore the expressive and spontaneous finger imprints in sand paintings through different mediums.

In his monotypes, the artist carries over the tactile interaction of his fingers with sand to the act of painting directly. He utilizes the medium of monotype printing to capture and preserve these effects. The potential of this medium for blending patterns and colors, as well as creating a variety of textures, is showcased in the richness and vibrancy of these works.
