On second’s throbs, in interminable abrasion of pencil on paper, MohammadReza’s nothingnesses are brought about to life.
In his patience roads, with an everlasting obsession, and in a scrupulous encounter, he saves his litter from death and annihilation. He has become able to suffice to his rubbish’s worthlessness and nothingnesses against the temptations of great motifs from literature, the history of art, philosophy and mythology.
With this simple weapon, i.e. pencil, in a battle with whiteness of the canvas, he looks like a magician who stands in the most unostentatious and modest place to make the miracle of recycling come true through tolerance. His works are not inspired from great ideas. His strength is the enjoyment of a real living experience from the motifs he faces: Living in a special geographical area with some clouds overshadowing his farm. Hence, besides his lifeless nothingnesses, we face a ruined field that thunderstorm and hurricane have devastated its farm’s plants.
MohammadReza is pointing out to where he was, where he belongs to, somewhere between reality and imagination.
