Since the early 1980s Taraghijah's work has been a reflection of rural Iranian imagery. The artist's trademark style often depicts Persian landscapes and stylized horses inspired by traditional Persian miniatures. The artist's contemporary work has evolved with the application of brilliant colors against pure white background. Taraghijah's figures are often translucent and shrouded in a white mist. The artist explains, "The colour white in my paintings symbolizes God. We feel his presence close to us everywhere."
